I spent 8months with Margaret's family and her horses and had a really great time. I left Scotland with only good memories!! Margaret is a lovely person with a big heart and I would definitely recommend her as an employer. Eva, the Czech Republic[Deleted] 12/05/2012
I spend a great time in the Highlands with the familly macgregor. They are so gentle and open! The area is absolutely amazing, it's easy to take the bus/train to go to the beautiful city Inverness, there are hiking opportunities and the view from the rooms is magnificent! I had the chance to know more about clydesdales: beautiful, impressing and very gentle horses. And riding with them in the scottish nature was a great experience. The two dogs are so nice. I absolutely recommend this place to every rider (and you learn to speak better english with the time!) Thank you for everything, John and Margaret :) Cindy (from france)[Deleted] 18/04/2016
Working for Margaret is really easy job with so much free time. All horses are very well behaved and friendly. Riding those calm Clydes is so much fun without worries of spooking (they don´t care even when a plane is taking off next to them). In the house I felt like a member of the family. Both foster boys are very nice and I looked after them only few times. Dogs are just lovely and know even few tricks :-). I couln´t choose better family to stay in. Lenka[Deleted] 26/01/2017
I spent 6 months in Scotland with Margaret and her horses. I felt really welcomed when I got here, they are all in the family so friendly and kind. All the horses are very sweet and well taken care of. And the clydesdales are beautiful! Its been a lot of fun going to the horse shows and learn how to plait clydesdales. Its easy to go to different cities with bus and/or train from here and if you like to hike there is many beautiful places for that too. I took a part time english course in a college nearby, which was great. And I have improved my english skills a lot since I got here. I have had an amazing time and met great people, seen many nice places and horses! :) /Sofia from Sweden[Deleted] 19/10/2017
I don’t know how and where to start as I’ve been here for quite a while now (since the end of December) collecting lots of good memories which make it hard to summarize them. But what is sure is that when you are having great fun and of course doing something you like, you don’t realize how time flies… And it is already time for you to live a feedback. A feedback, that can only be positive as you’ll quickly become part of a welcoming and generous big family : from the fish, the dogs, the two foster boys, Margaret’s brother (that always got a new story to tell), John, and Margaret ; to their Gentle Giants, that you’ve got the chance to look after and ride everyday. The work asked for is not hard and Margaret is very flexible, so if you are a little bit organized yourself then you’ll have Lots of spare time. Thus, you can decide how you are gonna spend it like : hiking, cycling, visiting, shopping, chilling, sleeping, watching Netflix,… Concerning the show season, I just found that really exciting and fun. Margaret is always here to supervise, support and help you if there is any problem. At least, but non of the least, you won’t have time to get stressed as once the show is over with, the kettle is already boiled and you can enjoy your picnic beside the horses and, trust me, if the sun’s got his hat on, that will just make your day : a day to remember. I really hope my feedback will help you to make your decision, if not, you can just contact me and I’ll convince you to come cause it’s just a really nice place to be. And if you’ve got any questions, please feel free to contact me. Orianne[Deleted] 12/08/2018
